Traditional concrete slabs are still the most cost-effective solution for paths. Many of our customers prefer traditional concrete slabs. These are usually more expensive than block paving but still remain a firm favourite for pathways and patios. We recommend that slabs are laid on a concrete base to avoid future movement and to minimise weed growth.
Slabs in our opinion perform better that plain concrete for patios and pathways. While plain concrete is typically one of the least expensive to build and when properly maintained, is also one of the most durable, it is liable to crack long term. Slabs can be more easily replaced
The more traditional types of patio slabs are made from natural stone materials, such as granite, limestone and sandstone, and these are generally a great mid-range price option. Let our experts advise you.
